Quinta do Lago North – this course has four great par-5′s, all requiring power and accuracy to play them well.  The par-3 holes are well influenced by the wind.  Hole 14 is outstanding.  The par-4′s are all doglegs apart from holes 10 and 13.  Precision driving is vital to set up the chance of a low score.  The lakes on holes 13 and 18 claim many victims.  The course favours the golfer who can draw on the ball

Quinta do Lago Laranjal – originally an orange grove, it is now a sanctuary for those seeking the finest golf experience.  Concentration and accuracy are required to navigate around the narrow fairways and well defined greens which are laid out on a rolling and distinctive terrain.  Five par-5′s, eight par-4′s, five par-3′s are set amongst a mixture of pines, cork oak and orange trees, not to mention the five beautiful lakes

Millenium – is a particularly open course, although some holes (3rd – 7th) wind between pine trees and are similar to the neighbouring fairways of the Old Course & Pinhal.  In this more wooded area, the fairways are narrower and require greater accuracy.  The rest of the course has a clear landscape enriched by lakes at the 4th, 17th and 18th holes

O’Connor – this course takes full advantage of being situated in a fertile valley.  The various water features, in particular holes 7, 8 and 9 offer a strong challenge, where the water hazards could force a lack of concentration.  Hole 10 leads play away from the northern boundary, setting up the challenge for the inward 9.  The 18th will require players to drive with pinpoint accuracy to set up the approach shot to a two tier green benched into the hillside.  You must also be prepared to read the subtly contoured putting surfaces that are strong features on this course.

Penina Championship – this course was originally Paddy Fields for rice but has been converted into a flat, challenging course expecially for the stronger player.  Something short of half a million shrubs and trees were planted during the conversion.  As the fairways are flat, strategically placed water hazards were introduced to catch the un-wary long hitter!

Golf

La Quinta – is a course that demands stamina.  Situated in “Golf Valley” it commands fine views of the mountains and the Marbella coastline.  It consists of 3 combinable 9 holes.  Although apparently easy, the courses are in fact very demanding, as the elevated trees and wide fairways make for good tee-shots but large bunkers lie in wait for stray approach shots.  The 15th with a dogleg to the left is rated as the  most difficult hole.

Flamingos Old – has been described as a very technical course, with long fairways and wide greens.  However it is a good but fair test of golf for all players.  The course also has breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains coast.  Set in a beautiful valley, it is isolated from buildings and noise and offers a peaceful and relaxed experience.  Water comes into play on the majority of holes

Rio Real – is one of the most spectacular courses in the area.  It is built on a gentle incline with shady fairways and wonderful views.  The River Real intersects the course at various points making it a very pleasant course to play.  Holes 4 and 5 run close to the sea and the par-3 on the sixth requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the hillside on the right
